Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department

The SVFD is an ALL VOLUNTEER force made up of a wide variety of community members who serve in many different roles to prevent and minimize the loss of life and property in our community through prevention, preparedness, and reliable emergency response. New members are always needed to fill available positions. Free training is provided.

YOU CAN MAKE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT IN YOUR COMMUNITY BY VOLUNTEERING.

Come visit us at the Station to learn about the many and varied ways you can volunteer and help the department and community. We are at the Station for Drill on the first, third, and fourth Tuesday of the month. We would love to give you a tour and tell you about what we do and how we do it. We need a wide variety of skills. You can be anything from an interior firefighter to fire police to EMT to ambulance driver to social member who helps with events and fundraising. It's all critical work and we appreciate any way members are able to serve.
